About

The Rajapalayam's long legs and strong build give it a sense of equilibrium. They are slim and beautiful, with an extended nose and a pointed forehead. Their jaws are famed for closing on a flawless scissor bite, ideal for a battle dog. This is one of the few pedigree Indian-bred canines created in the nation. Their stunning milk-white coat, pink nose, and appealing eyes are irresistible.. Many efforts have been made recently to promote the breeding and make them more well-known throughout the nation. They are not deterred by challenging terrain or large bodies of water when they are on the hunt, and they can be relentless pursuers.

Nutrition

Rajapalayam dogs are tall, strong, and extremely energetic. To satisfy their energy needs, they need a well-balanced diet rich in high-quality protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats. Give them a diet suited for their age, weight, and degree of exercise. To prevent obesity, it is essential to avoid overfeeding and restrict snacks. Obesity can lead to health concerns such as joint pain and heart disease. Rajapalayam dogs have sensitive stomachs and allergies, thus it is critical to provide them food that is readily digested and devoid of common allergens.. Only provide potable, fresh water, and make sure to clean the food and water bowls frequently.

Exercise

Rajapalayams must exercise every day in order to maintain their health, sharpen their minds, and stay in shape. Daily exercise is a great way for rajapalayams to combat boredom, which can sometimes result in bad behaviour. Most of your rajapalayam's urges to herd, dig, chase, retrieve, and chew will be satisfied by physical activity. Depending on your rajapalayam's age and level of health, different types of exercise are required. Bottomline they should engage in an activity for at least an hour each day, such as brisk walking, jogging, and playing in a secure yard or a sizable open space

Grooming

The Rajapalayam does not require much care because it sheds seldom and has a short fur coat. When it comes to grooming, they don't need expert help. To avoid ear wax and prevent ear infections, ears should be cleaned on a regular basis. Rajapalayams are prone to deafness, thus regular ear examinations are required. Periodic flea inspections are essential for avoiding an infestation. Cut their nails at least twice a month to avoid infections or ingrown nails.

Training

Rajapalayam will be an easy dog to teach. They are clever breeds, but the most essential thing to remember is that only one person must train this breed, i.e. the training programme must begin and conclude with the same individual. Changing the original trainer does not improve the dog's response. It is critical to begin teaching your Rajapalayam as soon as you bring him or her home, since it is never too early. Throughout the training process, you must be patient because this Indian breed need more time and repetitions to understand and obey. It might be difficult to teach them new orders, but it is all worthwhile in the end.

Health

Deafness is the most prevalent condition connected with many white coat dogs. It is critical to understand that pigment-producing cells determine coat and eye colour, and that hearing cells derive from the same stem cells as pigment-producing cells. As a result, if an animal lacks pigmentation in its body, it is usually deaf. Besides from this, there are several skin issues linked with this all-white breed. Mange and dermatitis are two of the most frequent disorders. That might be because of where these canines are reared. Hot and humid environments are ideal breeding grounds for a variety of germs and insects. Rajapalayams are typically a healthy breed, but you should keep in mind that almost every breed has a chance of developing genetic disorders.

History

The Nayak dynasty of Tamil Nadu has produced the Rajapalayam. Some academics contend that they are still present in Dalmatian culture today, but there are no records to support this. These dogs were presumably employed in the Carnatic and Polygar wars. Since the beginning of time, these dogs have protected homes, farms, and rice fields. Legends also surround these canines. One of the legends claims that four Rajapalayams killed a tiger to save the life of their master. They have been assigned as guard dogs in Kashmir's borders by the Indian Army due to their fierce loyalty and guarding capacity.
